Vintage Lightning Bolt surfboards, in recent years, have become highly sought-after collector's items.
With increased demand for classic Bolt boards and a limited supply, prices have gone aerial -- partly due to the Internet and because of well-produced surf auctions in Hawaii and California.
It is undeniable, however, that these boards have an appeal and value all their own. Lightning Bolts were made by the best board builders and promoted & marketed by the brightest talent known to the sport of surfing.
